This confession I feel was as much for her as it was for him, actually I think it meant more for him to say it than it did for her to hear it. She almost lost him and had said nothing but not this time, so he cracks and finally tells her he loves her because if he doesn't make it, he wants her to know. He leaves without even saying goodbye, like seriously dude! But Adalind's not afraid of her feelings, she chases after him because she didn't take the opportunity the time he went through the mirror. When he hugged her in the basement, it felt like he wanted to say it but fear stopped him, probably for the millionth time since BC took her from him. Nick has been keeping some things close to the vest for any number of reasons. He's lost so much, telling Adalind he loved her could have seemed like he was setting himself up to lose even more, so in his way he kept that part to himself. Nick has been telling her he loves her with actions since her confession about her powers. This episode was amazing!Īdalind didn't look or sound surprised. The kiss was fantastic, their foreheads touched and I melted into a puddle of goo. I hope this is the last time they are ever brought up again on the show. I wish, however, that Adalind could have been used more, working with the scoobies beginning in S5, I guess this episode is better later than never. And on top of taking the dagger away from her he reiterates fiercely that she's not going to the other place in the mirror, insisting there had to be another way for them to open the portal, that was simply too perfect for words. What's not to love about the guy? The way he quickly jumped on to that dagger before she could cut herself, it's one of the few unguarded moments with him that we see as viewers, showing just how much Adalind means to him. I keep going back to that scene in Sean's apartment where he mocked Renard for finding her hexenbiest attractive, I do wonder what goes through his mind now whenever he sees it. He's never flinched when she woges, before or after getting together. I like how Adalind's hexenbiest doesn't put him off, I'd say it never really did but that was a different time when they were still enemies. I like this little detail in their relationship. I think it reinforces my belief that Nick doesn't like Adalind being chummy with Sean and therefore Adalind tries to keep things as distant as possible by being formal. I also noticed that she calls Sean "Renard" to him several times but calls him "Sean" when she's with Rosalee and Monroe. Poor thing didn't like what he was hearing. Nick sounds jealous when Adalind mentions "Renard" not knowing what he'd done and actually asks (indignantly) if she's making an excuse for him, lol.

I'm happy she knows obviously but I wished to see it. It was so weird to hear Adalind refer to it so cavalier. I really wish we could have seen the talk about the stick, how it saved Nick's life.
